For Each Adult:
- Your prior year Personal Income Tax Return and Notice of Assessment;
- Any T-statements or tax receipts received (T4, T5, T4A, RRSP Receipts, etc.);
- Are you a resident of Canada?;
- Confirmation whether you’re a Canadian Citizen;
- Confirmation whether you own property over $100,000 outside of Canada;
- Did you open a first home savings account (FHSA) during the year?;
- A listing of any medical expenses;
- Your birth date;
- Details of any charitable donations you’ve made;
- Your marital status and whether it changed during the year;
- Confirmation whether you’ve sold any properties during the year (including your principal residence);
- Your completed self-employed income and expense workbook (if applicable, can be downloaded here);
- Any management fees paid for investing;
- Any interest paid on student loans; and
- Your property tax bill/details of your rent expense for the year.
For each minor child (if applicable):
- Full name and birth date;
- Confirmation income is $Nil;
- Daycare Receipts;
- A listing of any medical expenses; and
- Confirmation whether there are any child specific tax issues as outlined in any Separation Agreement(s).
Upon review, additional information may be required. In general the rate to prepare a basic tax return (no business income, no rental properties, etc.) is $135+HST.
